Mission

Rainforest protection for Wildlife, Climate, People, and the Planet.

We support and implement projects that conserve biodiversity, including land buyback, conservation and restoration of rainforests.

Using science-based advocacy and data-driven decision making, we're achieving our mission through fundraising and engagement, establishing and maintaining relationships with Traditional Owners and Indigenous organisations and financial sustainability, administration and governance diversity.

As a Trust, we carefully steward contributions to maximise outcomes for the rainforest conservation cause, fulfilling our mission and duties with transparency and passion.

Brand Story

Brand Story

For over 3 decades, Kelvin Davies has encouraged and enabled tens of thousands of people to contribute to the rainforest conservation cause. On August 23, 2018, he founded Rainforest 4 Foundation, now the Gondwana Rainforest Trust, to deliver outcomes for wildlife, climate, people, and the planet, through the purchase, protection, rehabilitation and restoration of the Earth’s rainforests.

The Daintree Lowland Rainforest is one of the oldest rainforests on Earth, and forms part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia, the most extensive subtropical rainforest in the world. They hold exceptionally high biodiversity and conservation value, providing a refuge for many unique species of flora and fauna, many of which are relatively unchanged from their fossil ancestors. One such plant is the Idiospermum australiense, depicted in the Gondwana Rainforest Trust’s logo. This plant’s unique lineage can be traced back to Gondwanaland, the ancient supercontinent, and reminds us of our duty to protect our planet’s exceptional ecosystems for future generations.
